What Should We Do to Prepare for a Job Interview? By Ivy Shaw

Nowadays, the employing environment is very serious for the students, especially for the senior students. In order to have more advantages in getting a job, many students hanker for various certificates besides their own specialties. It's true that we must have a good knowledge of what we have learned, but it's also important to act well in a job interview. So, good preparations are necessary before the interview and try not to let the nervousness, the improper dressing or the wrong acts prevent you from getting the job successfully.
But what should we do to increase the chance to get a job?
Here are some suggestions:
1. Make sure that you are correctly dressed.
The suits will be the best choice, no matter for men or women. For men, be careful that you'd better wear a white shirt and a tie without stripes. Of course, a pair of leather shoes is indispensable and the sports shoes are forbidden. Women should better wear high-heeled shoes and make up themselves. Some students may choose the bespoke suits, intending to leave a good impression. But usually, a formal business suit with a simple style and design is enough.
2. Be polite and modest.
Answer the questions with politeness and patience. Even though the interviewers might ask the questions that make you feel uncomfortable. Don't be aggressive. If you don't know how to answer the question, tell the truth and show your honesty. If you don't hear clearly, asking for a repeat is OK.
3. Show your interest in the company.
Ask some questions opportunely and show your interest in the company and your desires to work in the company. Certainly, you have to look for some information about the company before the interview so that you will not have nothing to talk with the interviewers.
4. Highlight your strong points.
Highlight your strong points and avoid your weak points. Tell the interviewers about your advantages to get this post and try to make them believe your ability. You can give some examples to prove what you say.
5. Don't be flustered.
It's normal to feel nervous but you should never be flustered. Take a deep breath and calm down. Don't answer the question until you feel more relaxed.
6. Be confident with yourself.
Even if you fail in the interview, don't lose the confidence of yourself. Maybe the post is not suitable for you, but next time, there will be a post for you.
