There's a report circulating on the Internet that the 'glory days' of
Google Adsense are over -- because of a simple anti-website-publisher
change that Google made to its Adwords program earlier this year.
Adwords is Google's contextual advertising innovation for Internet
advertisers that lets any average person (or small business, or large
company) set up his/her/its own ads -- to appear either on the Google
Search Engine Page or on website pages like ours, or on both. Adsense is
Google's advertising innovation for website developers, which gives
websites like ours the chance to earn small dollops of cash each time a
site visitor clicks a contextual ad we display. Adsense helps website
developers defray expenses related to website improvement and
maintenance. For more details go to www.yourgoogleincome.com. The
aforementioned 'Death Of Adsense' Report, states that Google changed its
Adwords Program in March 2006 to allow Adwords advertisers to bid a
separate price for ads that displayed on the Google Search Engine Page
as opposed to ads that displayed on website pages.
From that date forward, an Ad words advertiser could bid high for
favorable Search Engine results (which, it is the claimed, are generally
more beneficial to advertisers) and bid low for well-placed ads on
websites (which, it is claimed, are generally less beneficial for
advertisers). And, according to the author of 'Death of Adsense', that's
exactly what advertisers have gradually done over the last 6 months --
causing Adsense revenues for websites to wilt badly.
Because we joined the Adsense Program around the time that the
change was being implemented (unbeknownst to us), we really can't
compare our experience now with the so-called 'glory days' of Adsense.
To know more about it login to www.guardadsense.com. There have been no
'glory days' for us to recall -- nor to compare with. Just a modest
trickle of encouraging and much-appreciated pocket-money.
But the 'Adsense is dead' report makes intriguing reading. And, for
those who are interested in such subjects, click following to access a
fully illustrated version of this article that contains a live link to
'Life after Adsense'.

There is nothing wrong with visiting other websites to see how they are
going about maximizing their site navigation. "Hot pages" or 'Most read"
lists are very common and overly used already. Get to know the ones
that many websites are using and do not try to imitate them.
Another way of doing it is to try and use different texts on
different pages. That way you will see the ones that work and what does
not. Try to mix things around also. Put links on top and sometimes on
the bottom too. This is how you go about testing which ones get more
clicks and which ones are being ignored.
That is why most of them use it to go after high paying keywords.
You can also visit us at www.thegoogleincome.com. They have with them
the lists that tell what the keywords are and have already used various
methods of identifying them. And yet, after putting up these
supposed-to-be high paying keywords into their pages, the money they
expected to come rolling in is not really coming in.
What is it that they are doing wrong?
Having the pages is with the proper keywords is one thing. But
driving visitors to those pages is another matter and often the factor
that is lacking.
The thing is, to get visitors to your high paying keyword pages, you need to optimize your site navigation.
Stop for a moment and think about how visitors are using your
website. After a visitor has landed on a certain page, they have the
tendency to click on another page that sounds interesting. They get
there because of the other links that appears on a page that they
initially landed on. This is site navigation. It is all about enabling
visitors to move about your site. And one way of maximizing your Google
Adsense earnings.
A typical website has menu links on each page. The wording on these
links is what grabs a visitor’s attention and gets them to click on one
of the links that will take them to another page of that website. Links
that have "free’ or "download" are oftentimes good attention-grabbers.
This navigation logic can also be applied to driving traffic to your
high paying pages. There are some websites that are getting a lot of
traffic from search engines, but have low earnings. The trick is to try
and use come cleverly labeled links to get the visitors off that pages
and navigate them to the higher earning ones. This is one great way of
turning real cheap clicks to real dollars.
Before you begin testing if this same style will work for you and
you website, you need to have two things. Something to track and compare
and some high earning pages you want to funnel your site traffic to. An
option is to select a few of your frequently visited pages. This is
ensuring fast result to come by.
Now, the next thing to do is think of ways to get visitors viewing a
particular page to try and click on the link that will take them to
your high earning pages. Come up with a catchy description for that
link. Come up with a catchy and unique description for the link. Think
of something that people do not get to see everyday. That will trigger
their curiosity enough to try and see what that was all about.
You can also use graphics to grab your readers’ attention. You can
also go to www.yourgoogleincome.com. There is no limitation to what you
can do to make your link noticeable. If you are after the success of
your site, you will do everything it takes just to achieve that goal.
Just be creative. As far as many Google Adsense advertisers are
concerned, there are no written and unwritten laws to follow regarding
what they write. Just as long as you do not overstep the guidelines of
the search engines, then go for it.
Also remember that it is all about location, location and location.
Once the perfect attention grabbing description has been achieved, you
have to identify the perfect spot on your page to position that
descriptive link to your high paying page.
Let the testing begin. Testing and tracking until you find the site navigation style that works best for you site.

Many web site owners are getting their Google Adsense account terminated
when they have done nothing wrong to deserve the punishment.
Considering the money that they are getting from Adsense, they would
certainly want to get back into it.
Considering the money to be made with Adsense, it is no wonder that they
would want to get back into it.
It is that same consideration why the Google Adsense click fraud is
thought of and why many people are getting into it.
Click fraud is the act of clicking on ads for the purpose of costing the
advertiser money. It is simply the same as paying out cash for false
leads. Many people website owners are aware of this fraud and are
sharing the same sentiment that this is the one big problem that Adsense
is facing.
How do you prevent being involved in this fraud?
Majority of web hosts are offering access logs. Once this is offered to
you, it is necessary that you hand it over to Google as well. This
allows them to look for any suspicious activity on your site. Problems
like this are very serious and giving it to them is saying that you
would want to help them in any way you can in solving the problem.
It can also help if you have a click monitoring software. If you do not
have one yet, you should try and get one. There is absolutely no major
factor preventing you from having one because most of this software is
free.
As usual, all the information you have received should be turned over to
Google. This is showing Google that you too are fighting against click
frauds and is in no way a part of it.
Study your server logs and watch for any activity that seems suspicious.
Report anything that you may find odd, may it big or small thing.
You may want to consider disabling ads for your own IP address and local
geographic area. This will certainly prevent accidents and will not
make Google mistake another user as you. You can do through a htaccess
file. This will avoid Google mistaking as clicking on your own ads and
be kicked out because of it.
Keep your Adsense off on pop ups and pop unders. Your ads should not be
displayed on content sites that promote illegal activity or tampering of
the legal rights of other people or business. Included in this are the
content that is considered adult and gambling ones. If you think that
you may be breaking this rule, immediately remove your content or
Adsense from the web page.
Be truthful and confess up to Google about times when you might have
clicked on your own as, whether accidentally or intentionally. Or the
times when you have done something that is against the Terms of Service
that they are implementing. Be honest about anything that you may have
done that is wrong. Confessing is way better than Google learning about
it eventually. It would mean eventual termination and no getting back
what you have worked so hard for.
Do not tell your family or friends about Adsense on your website.
Chances are they may start clicking on them to help you make money
without you knowing it. They may be doing more harm to you than help by
trying it in the first place.
If ever someone you know chanced upon your Adsense, make sure they
understand that they cannot click on your ads under any circumstances.
It would be wise to brief them on important things about Adsense and
what not to do with them.
Most pay per click networks have different measures in hand to protect
website owners against click frauds. Other search engines can track more
than 50 data points, IP address, browser’s information, user’s session
info and pattern recognition. They also have “systems” available that
detects fraud. Not to mention the specialized teams monitoring how
things are going and helping advertisers stop click frauds.
Google offers suggestion on how to avoid click fraud. Using “negative
keywords” can be used to keep your Adsense showing on products and
services that are in no way related to yours. Adding tracking URLs to
your links so you can track the traffic coming from Google.

Smart pricing has changed Adsense. Publishers are seeing lower per
click payouts and are lamenting the inability of their old methods and
systems to produce a profit under the current circumstances. The old
guard of Adsense gurus, meanwhile, continues to hold tight to a
perspective born before smart pricing became a reality. They continue
to encourage new publishers to follow their methods for Adsense success.
Others have overreacted, announcing that Adsense is no longer a viable
moneymaking opportunity. Some have even argued that smart pricing
killed Adsense.
The old guard gurus are merely protecting their own best interests.
As long as they can pretend nothing meaningful has changed, the longer
they can continue selling their systems and software. Those tolling
death bells for Adsense are stirring up controversy for the sake of
promoting click-flipping and other wealth-production strategies. The
only people who seem to have it right are those publishers who have
noticed that the old Adsense gravy train has run out of steam and who
have discovered that the future of Adsense lies in treating it
differently than before.
Instead of proclaiming the death of Adsense, savvy users are taking a
different approach to the changed environment. Adsense still has a
place and can still be a valuable part of a successful overall strategy.
However, the previously embraced strategies that were premised on
constructing lower-quality sites en masse and monetizing them
exclusively with Adsense are no longer tenable.
Instead, Adsense can be used as one of a multiplicity of
revenue-producing tactics on smart sites designed to provide visitors
with real value. Earlier Adsense techniques were based on sending mass
traffic to a site and collecting ad clicks exclusively. In many cases,
the sites were actually designed in a way that aimed to make people want
to leave rapidly, using Adsense ad blocks as an “escape route.â€
Smart pricing has decreased the per click payout of such prices by
such a substantial margin that one cannot hope to profit from those
strategies in any meaningful way. Instead, smart publishers will create
better sites that really interact with visitors in a meaningful way.
Relevant contextual advertising fills the role of one many services
offered to visitors. Instead of being the “only way†to make a
dime, Adsense can be used as part of a full roster of moneymaking
opportunities.
Not only does this strategy allow webmasters to effectively tap into
to other revenue sources (some of which are more valuable than Adsense
ever was in its heyday), it also comports with Adsense’s own
recommendations for improving per click values in a smart pricing
environment. There are more ways to make money and one can make more
money with Adsense at the same time. Regardless of what some might be
announcing, there is no reason to give up on Adsense. You just need to
use it differently.
Adsense did not change in a vacuum. While it lumbered toward smart
pricing, web access, technology and user expectations were also in a
state of flux. Today, the old methods of top-down site design premised
on the old publication model is outmoded. The arrival of what many are
terming “Web 2.0†reflects the convergence of several different
trends. Those who will successfully use Adsense as a monetization
strategy today and in the future are aware of those trends and how to
approach them to effectively generate a substantial income.
Adsense has changed. Do not believe those who tell you that
“business as usual†will still work like a charm. Adsense is not,
however, dead. It is still a strong and vibrant means by which to earn.
The old Adsense business models are dead. They just do not do the
trick anymore. You can make money with Adsense, but it will require the
use of strategies that merge appropriately with the current environment
and trends. Sites that seek to provide real value to visitors can make
use of multiple revenue earning strategies including Adsense and will
succeed regardless of smart pricing adjustments.

AdSense commissions!

You
can learn all these secrets from them, as long as you buy their e-book,
sign up for their seminar or purchase their newsletter. But I'm going
to share all their AdSense tricks for free. Here they are:
1)
Color code your ads to match your web site palette *exactly*. Don't use
frames around your ads. Instead, in the AdSense code generation
interface, make sure you choose the same color as your page background
for the ad frame and the ad background.
When choosing the ad
heading colors, match them to the *exact* color of your page headings.
Use the exact same ad background shade as your page background. Use the
exact same ad text font and color as the text on your pages. You can see
an example of this color-matching on my Search Engine Advice Blog at -
http://www.searchenginecollege.com/blog.htm - notice the 4 link ad unit
at the top and the skyscraper text ad unit on the left hand side under
the heading Ads by Google as you scroll down the page? The link and text
colors are identical to the color palette used throughout the rest of
the page.
Near enough is NOT good enough. If you can't quite get
the color matching right, use Google's built in color palette together
with the RGB to HEX or vice versa color converter on this page -
http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Guide/Style. That handy little tool was a life
saver for me.
This is probably the one single tweak that made the most difference to my commission levels.
2) Try not to use the traditional horizontal banner style or leaderboard image ads because people are blind to them.
3) Use Google's own AdSense optimization tips at https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html
and visual heat map to assist you in deciding where on your page to place your AdSense ad code.
4)
Research competitive keywords using a keyword research tool such as
Keyword Discovery at http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/?id=22487 or grab a
list of the most popular keywords from various sources and use them in
your web site pages where relevant. This article -
http://searchenginewatch.com/facts/article.php/2156041 - is a good
source of frequently searched keywords. Targeting popular keywords
should trigger AdSense ads on your pages that utilize those keywords.
The more popular the keyword or phrase, the higher AdWords advertisers
are generally willing to pay per click for it so the higher your
commission on those clicks.
5) Incorporate the AdSense code into
your page so that the ads look like a regular part of your site. You can
see an example on this Internet Dating Stories site -
http://www.lovestory.com.au/
- where link ads are incorporated within the regular left hand
navigation of the site under the heading "Feature Links".
6) Use
Google's new 4 and 5 link ad units wherever possible. They seem to have a
much higher Click Through Rate (CTR) than regular ad styles. You can
view all the AdSense ad formats at
https://www.google.com/adsense/adformats.
7) Place arrows or
images next to your ads to draw attention to them. You can see two
different versions of on this search engine article library page -
http://www.searchenginecollege.com/articles/article-library.htm - at
the top (where a pointing hand directs your eye to the ad) and the
bottom where 3 images draw your attention to each of the three AdSense
ads.
8) Use the full allowance of multiple AdSense ads on each of
your pages - 3 regular AdSense ads, plus 1 link unit. Use careful
placement of these ads so they blend into your site and don't distract
from your content. Clever use of this allowance can be seen on this page
about bad Internet dating stories -
http://www.lovestory.com.au/bad-stories.htm - where you see:
- 1 horizontal 4 link ad unit towards the top of the page under the first paragraph.
- 1 vertical skyscraper text ad unit about halfway down the left hand side under "Sponsor Links".
- 1 vertical skyscraper image ad unit down the left hand side under "Sponsor Links".
- 1 horizontal text banner unit at the bottom of the page with images above each ad to draw attention to them. You can also include 1 AdSense referral button in addition to the 3 other units.
9)
Tailor your page content to a particular niche or focus. Page content
that is tailored towards a specific theme is more likely to trigger
AdWords ads that closely match the content and are therefore more likely
to interest your visitors and inspire them to click.
Don't create
pages merely for the sake of placing AdSense ads. Visitors (and search
engines) can see through this ruse in an instant.
10) Use custom
Ad Channels for each of your ad placements, for example, "Top 5 Link
Unit Blue Palette" or "Left Side Navigation Image Skyscraper" etc.
Tweak, track and measure the success of each of these custom channels so
you know what gives you the highest CTR. Some ad formats and colors
will work better than others, but you won't know which until you test,
test and test some more!

This is the first part of two series of articles about How to
Increase Your Google Adsense CTR. Many people think that they just have
to copy and paste Google Adsense code into their website and start
earning a huge amount of money from it. What a huge mistake! I also
thought the same way two years ago. Later I realized that without
optimization, that's impossible. Here I will share all of the tricks to
increase my Google Adsense CTR that I found within the last two years.
Here are some tips to increase your Google Adsense CTR:
- Make sure the ads that are appearing on your site are
closely related with your content. This is the first thing you have to
do because if your ads are not relevant, there's small possibility that
people will click on them. Then, what should you do to tackle this
problem? Here are the tips:
- Create a keyword rich content. I suggest you creating one topic a page.
- Check
your keyword rich content and then mark some of your keywords as bold
or italic. But don't do it too much, just do it 1 – 2 times per page.
Otherwise, Google assumes you are doing spamming.
- Use your keyword in your page title.
- Use HTML Tag H1 as your content title, and put your keyword in it.
Don't forget to place this tag at the beginning of your content.
- If all those tips still do not work, there is just one possibility:
there are no ads that matched with your keyword! You can check this out
by using this marvelous tool from the Digital Point Website. It is
called the Google Adsense Sandbox, and located in
http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/Adsense-sandbox/
You'll be asked to enter your selected keyword and it will display
every Adsense ads that's connected with that keyword. What if your
suspicion is correct? Change your keyword! Do not worry; sometimes you
just have to change one or two words.
- Use wide ads (336x280, 300x250 or 250x250). Because these are the best performing ads.
- Blend
your ads with your website themes. For example, if your background
color is white, change your ads border and background color to white as
well. If your background color is dark (black), use bright color such as
yellow as link color. This will decrease user ad-blindness.
- Place your Google Adsense in these positions:
- Above the fold
Above the
fold is the top position of your page that's visible without your
visitor having to scroll down. This is the best location that works for
me. I place 336x280 ad unit in this location and it works very well.
Why? Okay, back to our example. Your article is about "how to bake
delicious bread". Someone finds it from search engine; when he opens it,
he first sees ads about "baking school", "baking book" or "bread
recipes". Who won't be interested?
- In the middle of an article.
This works well if
your article is long (more than 500 words). People tend to stop for a
while and look for something different while they read. I suggest using
rectangular ads (125x125, 180x150, 300x250, 336x280, 250x250 ad unit)
for this purpose and make it left justified.
- At the end of an article.
Many people reported
that placing Google Adsense ads at the end of their article tends to
work very well. This is because when people finish reading an
interesting article, they usually think "okay, what's next?" That's your
chance! By placing Google Adsense ads at the end of this article,
people will spend a minute to read it and then (maybe) click it. For
example, you write an article about "how to bake delicious bread". And
at the end of it, there are some ads about "bread recipes". Who won't be
interested?
- Regarding the fourth tip, I don't recommend you
placing three ad units in a single page. From my experience, the number
of ad unit you place in a single page doesn't affect your CTR. In fact, I
even found that placing three text ads in a single page make my ads
"unblended". For example, I put 160x600, 468x60 and 336x280 ads on a
single page. You know what? My 468x60 ads only showed 3 ads in it,
whereas my 336x280 ads only showed 2 ads in it! My suggestion is: use 1
– 2 ad unit and a single link unit on your page (Google allows 3 ad
unit and 1 link unit to be placed on a single page).
- Always
use Link Unit! Many people never realize that Link Unit is the most
profitable format if put in the right place. Try to place it near your
navigation menu. People will misidentify it as a navigation menu and
automatically read it. If your ads are closely relevant to your content,
there's big possibility they will click it. I move the top navigation
in one of my websites to the bottom section and replace it with 728x15
Link Unit Ads. You know what? My Google Adsense CTR increased by 200%!

Adsense tips and tricks at his website http://www.MakeMoneyAtHome-Idea.com
Since its introduction in 2003, the Google Adsense program has greatly
help bloggers defray hosting charges and other costs related to running
blogs. Blogging can be very expensive especially when you have high
levels of traffic and numerous pages. Many are turning to Google Adsense
to generate some revenue from their blogs and what’s more, earn some
extra on the side.
What Google Adsense Is
Adsense is an advertising program run by Internet giant Google.
Google Adsense allows you (blog owner) to sell advertising space on your
blog. The program enables you to display relevant text and banner ads
on your blog’s content pages. Banner ads are the most common form of
online advertising displayed at the top of many blog pages. Google pays
you a fee when the visitor clicks on the ad.
When you join the Adsense program, you get access to Adsense for
content which places ads on your content pages. Because the ads are
targeted to what visitors are looking for on your blog or they match the
interests of the visitors your content attracts, you earn and at the
same time enhance your content pages. Google uses its vast search
technology resources to serve ads based on blog content. In this regard,
Adsense has become a popular choice for placing advertisements on a
blog because the content of the ads is relevant to the blog. For
example, ads for kitchen utensils will appear on a blog post about
healthy cooking. Google has an extensive inventory of ads for all
categories, business, practically for all kinds of content. If Google is
unable to display targeted ads on your blog page, you can display a
default ad of your choice.
A companion to the Adsense for content is the Adsense for search. It
allows you to add a Google search box on your pages. This keeps the
visitors on your blog longer since they can search from right on your
blog. When a visitor searches the web using the search box, Google
shares any ad revenue it makes from those searches with you and you
shell nothing to participate.
Another recent addition is the Adsense for feeds. This runs on RSS
and Atom feeds. RSS and Atom feeds are standards for publishing regular
updates to blog-based content. Ads are displayed in the most suitable
feed articles. You are paid for your blog’s original content; visitors
see appropriate advertising and more relevant feeds to choose from.
How to Join
There is no rigid criteria to conform to for acceptance into the
Google Adsense program, unlike other online ad networks that place
minimum traffic requirement to be accepted. The only real criterion is
acceptable content. Of course, any ad program wants to attract quality
content blogs only. Assuming you already have a blog on which you can
include Adsense links, you first need to be accepted into the program.
The first step is to go to
http://www.google.com/adsense
to sign up. Google will review your blog to find out if you have the
necessary traffic and the content that would bring in sufficient clicks
to make your taking part in the program beneficial to Google and to you.
Once you are accepted, all you need is a bit of javascript code to
incorporate the advertisements into the accepted blog site. Google does
the rest like providing appropriate ad links from its inventory of
clients to your blog. Targeted ads will start showing up on your blog.
How It Works
There are two sides to Google advertising – one for advertisers
selling a product or service called Adwords and Adsense for blog
publishers. Advertisers pay Google to have their ads designed using
Adwords appear next to the search page results in Google and a list of
significant keywords for their offerings. Google will display an ad only
if the provided keywords conform to a visitor search. An advertiser
pays Google on a cost per click (CPC) basis. This means an advertiser
pays only for that ad if the visitor clicks on the ad and visits the
advertiser’s site. Advertisers compete with one another to buy search
keywords usually from five cents and above. Nevertheless, Google also
takes into consideration the search engine ranking of the advertiser
blog, so no one site can just buy keywords. For example, a purchase of
the keywords “digital camera†produces ads next to Google search
result in its home page. Said purchase also shows Adsense ads for
digital cameras on other blogs where digital cameras are mentioned.
For their part, blog publishers using Adsense create relevant pages.
Google sends out Mediabots (digital robots) which use special
algorithms to crawl the host blog page and evaluate the content to
determine what keywords are relevant and report the result to Google’s
ad server which then serves the appropriate ads. Blog publishers get
paid a percentage of the fee that Google receives from the advertiser.
This is done through a combination of a pay per click (PPC) and pay per
impression basis. Impression is the number of times a specific ad has
been displayed. A blog publisher is reimbursed at a fixed rate per
thousand impressions. If a page isn’t significant enough, a blog
publisher doesn’t get paid as much. There is no charge for the blog
publisher to join Adsense. All costs are covered by the advertiser who
participates in Adwords.
How Much Money It Makes
The amount of money you (blog publisher) can expect from Google
Adsense depends upon several factors. If your blog draws tons of traffic
and you focus on a particular niche, Google will serve ads that appeal
to visitors of your site. For instance, if you maintain a popular blog
devoted to portable media player, you can make a windfall because of the
high level of competition for related keywords. Rates for competitive
keywords can exceed $1 which impacts your blog’s earning potential.
Conversely, if you are in a less competitive niche, you get occasional
traffic only, thus less visitors click on your ads which equates to less
money earned.
How much each advertisement pays per generated click is also another
important factor. Each Adsense ad is not worth the same. An ad may give
you ten cents while another may give you $1 per click. It depends on
the demand for that kind of ad. If a number of advertisers are bidding
for the same advertising space, the advertiser offering the most per
click will get their ad displayed first.
Ad formats and placements influence revenue. Placing ads on the
right part of the blog page is significant so that visitors looking at
your page will see the ad, at the same time it will be not be overly
intrusive to put visitors off.
Fundamentally though, it is all about content. To make money from
Adsense, you have to know what your visitors are looking for. It may be
information on a topic, a product they want to buy or a service they
want to avail of and entertainment. Offering visitors good content will
generate highly relevant ads which in turn will draw more clicks on the
ads displayed. To optimize content, the same basic rules for search
engine optimization apply.
Google doesn’t publish the percentage it takes as a commission and
only displays what the blog owner receives in member reports. However,
you can make a rough estimate. The average click through rate (CTR) for
online advertising is generally around 0.5 to 1%. CTR is the rate at
which visitors click an advertisement usually calculated as a percentage
of ad impressions (number of times a specific ad has been displayed).
What each click pays is dependent on the content and keywords that are
generating the ads being served.
Although Google doesn’t release the amount it pays for keywords,
you can sign up as an advertiser on top of being a participant in the
Adsense program for $5 and see for yourself how much advertisers are
paying Google for various click through. For example, a thousand page
views with Google ads on them per day, at 1% click through rate and 25
cents per click will yield $2.50 per day. Not a lot but it can cover
hosting fees or service fees.
Google Adsense is not a get rich quick program. But there are
documented cases of bloggers earning as much as $5,000 a month and more.
In fact, Jason Calacanis sold his blog network, Weblogs Inc. for a
whopping $25 - $40 million on Google Adsense revenues of $1 million
yearly. There isn’t any sense why a blogger can’t earn much from
Google Adsense program. Definitely, there are thousands of dollars worth
of reasons to make money from Google Adsense.

If you trawl through the AdSense message boards you can’t help but
come across tales of woe from AdSense publishers that have had their
account banned by Google.
Below is a list of ways people have been banned from AdSense and information on how to avoid it happening to you.
Don’t click on your own ads
The
obvious one but still people do it. Google has the IP address of the
computer/s that you’ve used to create and check your AdSense account.
If it sees that this IP address clicks one of your ads you’re in
trouble.
Don’t do it. It’s theft. Not from Google but from the AdWords advertisers.
If
you want to go to a site advertised by one of your ads don’t click on
it look at the URL of the advertising site at the bottom of the ad and
type it into your browser.
If you click on one accidentally (which
does happen) you’re probably be ok but it’s worth dropping a quick
email to Google with an explanation and apology
Don’t log in to AdSense from a shared computer.
As
I said above Google keeps a record of every machine IP address used to
look at your account. If you check your stats on a machine then someone
else clicks on your ads from the same machine Google sees this as click
fraud. Worth bearing in mind when thinking of checking your stats from
somewhere like an Internet Café.
Don’t log in to your AdSense account from work.
Apart
from getting in trouble with the company that employs you there’s
also a further real risk. Most companies use a proxy server to access
the Internet. A proxy server with ONE IP ADDRESS. Therefore you checking
your ads from work means this proxy IP address being recorded by Google
as one that you use. Problem is if there are 1000 people in your
company it is the same IP address for them too. Google can’t
differentiate between you and the other 999 employees in your company.
If one of these 999 clicks on one of your ads it’s ban time.
Don’t get into a ‘I’ll click your ads if you click mine’ agreement with another Webmaster.
As
above Google will have your IP address and that of every AdSense
publisher. If they see these IP addresses consistently clicking on each
other ads it’s goodbye for both of you.
Don’t tell friends and family.
Telling
friends and family about your money making websites can lead to
problems. Even if you tell them not to click on your ads there’s
always the chance that Auntie Maud will think it’s a good idea to make
some extra money for her favourite nephew. 100 clicks later from the
same visitor and your account is screaming ‘Click Fraud’.
Receiving clicks from illegal traffic
Check
the AdSense TOS for sources of traffic that aren’t allowed by Google.
These include methods like Traffic exchange, PTC advertising, Auto surf
etc.
Do monitor your visitor and AdSense figures
Check
your account at least once a day. If you see a massive spike coupled
with a massive increase in Page CTR investigate using your visitor stats
website. If you see it’s all come from the same IP address you could
have been the victim of a malicious attack – inform Google via email
and offer them access to your logs.
Paul Middleton is a successful Internet entrepreneur. He shares some of his secrets on his website where he shows people how you can make money online working from home. Included are details of how you can have an adsense business.
Smart pricing has changed Adsense. Publishers
are seeing lower per click payouts and are lamenting the inability of
their old methods and systems to produce a profit under the current
circumstances. The old guard of Adsense gurus, meanwhile, continues to
hold tight to a perspective born before smart pricing became a reality.
They continue to encourage new publishers to follow their methods for
Adsense success. Others have overreacted, announcing that Adsense is no
longer a viable moneymaking opportunity. Some have even argued that
smart pricing killed Adsense.
Instead of being the “only way†to make a dime,
Adsense can be used as part of a full roster of moneymaking
opportunities.
They just do not do the trick
anymore. You can make money with Adsense, but it will require the use of
strategies that merge appropriately with the current environment and
trends. Sites that seek to provide real value to visitors can make use
of multiple revenue earning strategies including Adsense and will
succeed regardless of smart pricing adjustments.

One of the most essential aspects of getting the most out of your
involvement with Google’s Adsense program is to be certain that Google
serves up the most relevant ads possible on your site. The concept is
easy to grasp--visitors travel to your sites in search of certain
content on their topic of interest. If they see advertisements directly
related to those content desires, they are far more likely to click on
the ads than if they encounter only tangentially related material or, in
a worst case scenario, ads that are not even related to their
interests. As such, it is in your best interests to make sure your site
displays relevant ads. Here are few tips for improving your content
relevancy to produce more accurately targeted contextual advertising
from Adsense.
FIRST THINGS FIRST. Before you even begin to use Adsense as a
monetization tool, make sure there are relevant ads for your site or
pages. In most cases, you will have determined this long before you even
embarked on site design or content development. However, if you are
thinking of adding Adsense to an existing site built with other
monetization strategies originally in mind, you may not have bothered
checking to see if other advertisers were going after that particular
market. Be sure you are addressing a topic for which ads exist in
sufficient quantity. If related advertising is sparse, it will difficult
to avoid irrelevant ads.
KEYWORDS MATTER. You do not want content that is overstuffed with
particular keywords to point of destroying readability and value, but
you do want to make sure your materials make liberal use of on-topic
keywords likely to spawn the most relevant possible ads. Experts
maintain that using keywords with your titles and H1 tags is an
excellent way to assist in getting the most relevant possible ads. This
has added advantages in terms of search engine optimization, as well.
METATAGS. Once upon a time, metatags were a critical aspect of
search engine optimization in general. Although the engines rely upon
metatags far less than they once did, there is some evidence to suggest
that using ad-triggering keywords in your pages’ meta-tags may
increase the relevance of the advertisements displayed. This strategy
may help, and it certainly cannot hurt.
LOOK FOR LACKLUSTER CONTENT. Many sites to a great job of supplying
content related to particular themes or keywords in the main portion of a
page, but have sidebars, headers and footers filled with less targeted
terms and material. Take a long look at your navigational elements and
other “side of the page†text and remove keyword terminology that
may be leading to irrelevant ad service. Alternatively, you can use
Adsense’s section targeting tool to remove those areas from
Adsense’s consideration completely, so long as you do not plan to
display ad blocks or ad link units in those areas.
TIGHT THEMING. You want to keep content tightly themed. That means
you do not want to feature long, rambling articles that cover multiple
topics. Instead, rely upon materials that address singular issues. You
also do not want to feature multiple chunks of content on disparate
matters on the same page for that very same reason. The value of tight
theming may extend past individual pages. Many publishers argue that
Adsense tends to reward tightly-themed overall sites with more relevant
ads, as well. Even though this aspect of theming is not as well
researched and proven, it makes sense to follow the practice, because of
the search engine optimization advantages of having a focused site.
BLOCK THE BAD ADS. Monitor your site regularly and take note when
irrelevant ads appear. Then, take the time to add them to your blacklist
for the site. Google does give you the ability to block individual ads
via the Competitive Ad Filter. If you block out commonly served
irrelevant ads, you may improve your chances of featuring more ads upon
which your visitors will actually click.
The more contextually relevant the ads appearing on your site are,
the more clicks you can expect to see. As such, it is important to make
an effort to use a combination of proven SEO methods that also work well
with Adsense and some program-specific maneuvers to secure the best
possible ads on your site.

Any web site owner or webmaster who is trying to earn a profit from their sites are likely familiar with Google Adsense.
Google Adsense is a great and easy way to make money from your site
if it is done right. Adsense will allow any person with a blog or an
informative site to earn money, simply by placing a little code on their
site pages. Rather than trying to figure out exactly what ads to put on
their web pages, Adsense gives web site owners the ability to
concentrate on their sites content.
Many webmasters are able to make a living from Adsense, however,
there are also quite a few who spend all their time just trying to
figure out the "magic trick" used to earn from Google Adsense. Earning a
living from Google Adsense ads, can seem difficult, but it's not
impossible.
If Google Adsense is going to be your only source of income, you
will want to do more than just taking some Adsense code and placing it
on your site. That is just not enough; you will need to do some
experimenting, with placements, formats and choice of keywords.
You really should take care to build your page around a specific
topic or keyword that is relevant to your site concept. This will ensure
that any Adsense ads which are placed on this page are appropriate and
useful to any visitors who want to know more about the topic and they
will more than likely end up clicking on the Adsense ad.
You will want to take care where you place your ads. It has been
proven that visitors often first look to the top left of a website when
they arrive. Because this is were your visitors attention is likely to
first, it is going to be one place where you might want to consider
placing some ads. You can read the Google help on the Adsense website to
learn more about the best locations for placing your adverts.
Another consideration when placing your ads, is to put them on high
traffic pages. You can identify the pages visited most on your site by
taking a look at your logs or your Google account, where you will get
the page-by-page details of your visitors.
Although the skyscraper and banner ads may look good on your site,
you may want to avoid using them. Often times, banners are ignored. For
example, have you clicked on any banners of sites that you have visited
lately?
You will want to blend your Adsense ads into your web page by using
the Adsense formats. Google supplies a variety of palettes allowing you
to change font colors, borders and backgrounds. There really isn't much
point in putting an ad on a page if it doesn't blend with your site.
A very important resource that many webmasters ignore is the Adsense
preview tool. This tool will allow you to preview the ads that will go
on each of your pages and gives you sample ads and formats. Here is
where the destination of your ads can be checked, as well as, geo
targeted locations.
Remain focused on what it is that you want to achieve. However busy
you may be, you must take some time and experiment with your Adsense ads
so that CTR can improve. No matter what the experts say, just follow
the basics, that's the real magic to making more from Gooogle Adsense.

There is a common complaint among webmasters Google is trigger-happy at
banning Adsense publishers who violate their Terms Of Service (TOS), and
often without warning.
The TOS violations usually involve:
- publishers clicking on their own ads.
- encouraging visitors to click on the ads.
- tricking visitors into clicking on the ads, e.g. by aligning images to the ad units.
- implementing ads on pages with copyrighted or adult content.
My personal experience has been otherwise and infact, the Google
Adsense team had been polite and responsive to my queries. Here's a
warning email that I received from Google:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
While reviewing your account, we noticed that you are currently
displaying Google ads in a manner that is not compliant with our
policies. For instance, we found violations of AdSense policies on pages
such as xxxxyoutube.com.
Publishers are not permitted to make prominent use of “Google
Brand Features†on sites showing Google ads. Google Brand Features
include Google logos, product screenshots, or other distinctive features
Additionally, publishers may not place Google ads on sites
incorporating Google trademarks in the site URL or on sites that frame
Google pages, including search results pages.
As a result, we have disabled ad serving to the site.
Your AdSense account remains active. However, we strongly suggest
that you take the time to review our program policies
(https://www.google.com/adsense/policies) to ensure that all of your
remaining pages are in compliance.
Please note that we may disable your account if further violations are found in the future.
Sincerely,
The Google AdSense Team
----------------------------------------------------------------
And this was the response I received within 24 hours of asking how I had violated their terms:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Larry,
Thanks for following up with us and for making the requested changes to your account in order to comply with our policies.
As mentioned in our previous email, publishers may not place Google
ads on sites incorporating Google trademarks in the site URL. As
you’ve suggested, the issue was with your use of “YouTube†in your
site URL.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Sandor
The Google AdSense Team
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hence, my advice to potential and existing Adsense publishers is to
not believe everything you read in webmaster forums. Good luck in making
money from the Adsense publisher program and do not harbor a fear that
you can be banned at Google's whim and fancy.

Google Adsense is a program that allows businesses to advertise on other
websites. They business only pays the host website when a consumer
clicks on the link to take them to their website. This is a very
effective way of advertising because of the millions of people who
access the internet every day. It is also a low cost marketing method
that businesses of all sizes can benefit from. Websites are eager to
host advertisements for other businesses because it doesn’t cost them
anything and they earn money for doing it when consumers choose to
follow the link from a particular advertisement.
If you are interested in using Google Adsense to advertise then you
need to make sure you are aware of their policies. This will make the
process smoother for you and eliminate any misunderstandings down the
road. This can be a great money maker or advertising tool, but only when
it is used correctly.
There is no long term contract with Google Adsense. You can choose
to leave the program at any time. You will need to provide written
notice by mail or email to Google. All ads will be removed from your
website within ten days. They also have the right to discontinue your
business from the program at any time for not following their policies.
You do have the right to file an appeal if your account is canceled.
This gives you the opportunity to discuss the situation with a Google
Adsense representative.
You must be approved by Google Adsense before you are allowed to be a
part of the program either as a host site for advertisements or to post
your ads. The owner of the website must be at least 18 years of age.
The approval process involves an application that you complete with
information on your website including keywords. You will have a response
to your application within two days. Make sure it is completed entirely
or your application will be denied.
All communications must take place with Google. This means if you
have concerns or issues about an advertisement your business has on a
website or about an ad you are hosting on your website everything goes
through Google. The two businesses are not to discuss the issue between
each other. Google does not guarantee a set amount of clicks or earnings
for a host website. It also doesn’t guarantee any increase in traffic
or sales for a business.
Google Adsense has the right to use the name of businesses
participating in the program for presentations, marketing, and financial
reports. Users of Google Adsense are required to pay for the amount of
pay per clicks their ads received as outlined. Adsense accounts are
non-transferable under any circumstances. They can’t be resold to
another provider. A maximum of three ads per webpage can be displayed.
Advertisements can’t be placed on webpages that don’t contain
content for your website. A webpage can’t be used for the sole purpose
of displaying ads to make money.
Click fraud is not acceptable at all by Google Adsense. It damages
the reputation of the program and costs the advertisers a great deal of
money. Any website hosting advertisements that is believed to be
involved in Click Fraud will be banned from using the program. If you
chose to use Google Adsense to advertise your business, protect it from
Click fraud by purchasing Click Fraud software.
Google Adsense is a great opportunity for businesses to advertise
their products and services on various websites and pay only for the
number of consumers who click on the link to go to that businesses
website. It is also a great way for a business to make money by hosting
advertisements for other businesses. Understanding the policies of
Google Adsense will help you determine if the program is right for you.
It also helps the program work properly for all those involved in it.

Email marketing withemail opt out sentences is an effective internet marketing tool.
Adsense is a wonderful opportunity for you to generate additional income
for your website. It doesn’t cost you anything is the best part!
Adsense is also very simple. You have to complete an application with
Google and be accepted to host advertisements for other businesses. Then
you simply add lines of code to the html on the pages of the website
where you are willing to have advertisements. With that all in place,
how do you blend the Adsense Ads into your website so they don’t stick
out like a sore thumb? You don’t want them to distract the consumer
from what you are offering on your website.
You may not be aware of it, but you have a lot of say in how the
advertisements are placed on your website including the placement,
layout, color, and style. There are many places on a website to put
Adsense Ads. Some prefer to place it on the top of the page and others
like the bottom of the page. Along either side of the text for your
website is convenient too. Since we read from left to right, the right
side is more common as it will attract attention as the eyes move across
the page.
According to Google Adsense, the most effective location is at the
top of the page because the entire ad can be seen. Often parts of it are
hidden when on the sides unless the mouse is used to scroll over the
information. This can be distracting to the consumer and lose the
effectiveness of the advertisement. They also recommend using different
colors for the ads to differentiate it from your website materials, but
to use colors that compliment each other.
The layout can be modified to make it different or the same as your
website. Some advertisement hosts like everything to be in the same
style and size to give a symmetrical look to the pages. Others like to
have their information completely distinct from the advertisements. Both
are effective so it is only a matter of personal preference as to how
you want your website to appear. Colors including the background can be
changed to make everything work together well. You might have to
experience a little to come up with the right design you are happy with.
You want to blend the Adsense ads enough that they look natural
appearing on your website rather than appearing to be out of place. If
they don’t look natural they can be distracting to the consumer. They
also won’t be effective because consumers don’t trust what doesn’t
look professional when it comes to the internet. This could be damaging
to your own sales on your website so pay close attention to this issue.
It is a good idea to ask some others for feedback on how the
information appears to them on your website. You should avoid placing
ads to where they appear to be banners.
Adsense offers you some useful tools as well to get everything to
blend. The Google Adsense Preview tools allow you to test the layout of
your website with the ads in place. This gives you the opportunity to
change anything that is ineffective before your consumers view in over
the internet. You can also contact their customer support 24/7 for
questions or concerns you may have.
Adsense is a great way for your website to generate additional
income by offering to host advertisements for other businesses with
similar products and services to offer consumers. You are still in
control of the layout and design of your website. You have the ability
to change the color, layout, and style of the advertisements placed on
your website. You also get to determine where they are placed. This
makes the idea of participating in Adsense advertising even more
appealing.

Popup advertising and pop under advertising two powerful internet marketing methods.
